Sketch of Set Design

This is mainly taken from the photograph below and is the way we would like our set to look in our thriller. Its very typical of a 1940s detective office. I have labelled most the props in the design so that we know what we will need when we come to building it. For exapmle before we build it we will look at the list at the bottom and it will tell us we will need blinds with a light behind it to creat that stripped shadow lighting effect.

Why people would like our Thriller:

Our thriller would appeal to more art house type of people as well as people who are in their late 20's and up that enjoy watching old fashioned films because ours will be set in the 1940's. Our thriller would appeal to viewers who like L.A. Confidential because of the same noir theme of murders happening as police try and find out whats happening which will in our case be a private detective.
People who also watched the last seduction would enjoy our thriller because both have murder and a leading femme fatal actress. Even though it is set a couple years after ours watchers will still like Welcome to Suddenly because it is a noir theme.
Anyone who enjoys noir american style theme films involving murder, mystery, crime as well as detectives and strong femme fatal female leads. Our film would probably first come out in small art house cinemas because its not a film that would appeal to a massive audience.
Its hard to say who would distribute our films considering the different factors. Warner Bros made L.A. Confidential and The Last Seduction was made by October films which could of possibly been the right people to distribute our film but the last film they made was in 2001. There is no one film company which seems to specialize in Noir films so this would be a main problem in trying to get it distributed.
